Douglas L. Kennealey

Doug co-founded Princeton Equity Group, co-leads its investment activities, and sits on the Firm’s investment committee. Prior to co-founding Princeton, Doug spent nearly 20 years as a private equity investor at Summit Partners, Silver Lake, Brazos, and MPK Equity Partners (which he co-founded in 2015). In addition, Doug has been a Senior Advisor at Princeton Ventures, our predecessor firm, since its inception in 2006.

Doug’s current investments include Ellie Mental Health, Card My Yard, Accelerated Brands (the parent company to Strickland Brothers and Trademark Car Wash), the International Franchise Professionals Group, D1 Training, Five Star Franchising (the parent company to Mosquito Shield, Bio-One, Bath Solutions, Gotcha Covered, ProNexis, 1-800-Packouts, and 1-800-Textiles), and Stellar Brands (the parent company of Restoration 1, Bluefrog Plumbing + Drain, The Driveway Company, and Softroc).

Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

His previous investment experience includes European Wax Center (acquired by General Atlantic), Unleashed Brands (the parent company to Urban Air, Premier Martial Arts, The Little Gym, Class 101, XP League, and Snapology), and Radiance Holdings (the parent company of Sola Salon Studios and Woodhouse Day Spa).  Doug holds a B.A., magna cum laude, in Theology and Economics from Boston College and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School.
